Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP)
Issuing authority: Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
According to different needs, and divided into: Long-Term Visit Pass; Birth Pass; Spouse Pass; Children’s Pass; Parental Pass (* if the associate is SP or EP, the monthly income should be no less than S$12,000)
Application requirements:
Comply with relevant ICA regulations, including kinship and minimum income requirements.
Restrictions:
Not valid for employment.
The validity of the permit is generally one year.
Work Permit (WP)
Issuing authority: Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
WP is the most basic work permit in Singapore.
Application requirements:
No salary or education required.
MOM has strict limits on the ratio of WP to local employees employed by companies in different industries.
Skill Pass (SP)
Issuing authority: Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
SP is the work permit for Singapore intermediate technical practitioners.
Application requirements:
A fixed monthly salary of at least S$2,400.
Education is required to be at least an associate’s degree, or a technical certificate, and the diploma should include at least one year of full-time study.
Relevant working experience is required.
According to different industries, MOM has strict limits on the proportion of SP and local employees employed by enterprises.
Employment Pass (EP)
Issuing authority: Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
EP is Singapore’s advanced employment permit for foreign professionals (management, supervisor or professional positions).
Application requirements:
Have a job in management, administration and professional projects in Singapore.
A fixed income of at least S$3,900 per month (applicants with a monthly salary of more than S$6,000 will have a better chance of being accepted).
A bachelor’s degree from an excellent institution, or a professional qualification.
You need to make sure that your academic qualifications are available at Dataflow, CSN and the China degree and graduate education information website before you apply.
EntrePass (EP)
Issuing authority: Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
Foreigners can apply for the EntrePass to start and run new businesses in Singapore.
Application requirements:
There are no salary requirements.
Has commenced or intends to commence the registration of a private limited company with ACRA:
If registered, the application date must be less than 6 months.
If not, you can register after you know the result of your application.
Before applying, make sure your degree is available on Dataflow, CHSI, and the China academic and graduate education information website.
The following enterprises are not eligible for the entrepreneurship license:
Low-class catering and entertainment services can not apply for entrepreneurship license.
Personalized Employment Pass(PEP)
Issuing authority: Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
PEP is a senior professional certification in Singapore for local high income EP holders and foreign specialists. It can be employed by a number of employers.
Application requirements:
Foreign professionals with a fixed monthly salary of at least S$18,000 (provide the domestic company personal bank statement for three months).
Is a current holder of Singapore work permit (EP) with a fixed monthly salary of at least S$12,000.
Have bachelor’s degree from an excellent university, or a professional qualification with a good resume in the domestic industry, awards or outstanding business achievements.
Before applying, make sure your degree is available on Dataflow, CHSI, and the China academic and graduate education information website. If you have an overseas diploma, you do not need to provide notarized documents.
Advantages:
There is no need to be affiliated with any company carrier in Singapore.
The approval period is three years.
The probability of applying for PR is higher than all work permits.
Restrictions:
Freelancers cannot apply.
Not allow to be a shareholder of a local company in Singapore.
Editors, sub-editors, producers and journalists cannot apply.
Global Investor Programme
Issuing authority: Economic Development Board (EDB)
The global investor programme (GIP) is managed by the liaison Singapore division of the Singapore economic development board. Liaising with the Singapore sector focuses on building relationships with business owners and entrepreneurs to help them invest and expand in Singapore.
The investment plan
Option A: Invest not less than S$2.5 million to establish A new business entity or expand an existing business operation.
Plan B: Invest not less than S$2.5 million in the global business investor scheme fund of Singapore enterprises.
Option C: Invest not less than S$2.5 million in a new or existing single family office in Singapore. The office must manage assets of not less than S$200 million.

Dependant’s Pass (EP)

Application requirements:
Spouse and children under 21 of EP or SP holder.
EP or SP holders receive a fixed income of at least S$6,000 per month.
Restrictions:
Not allow working directly, and you need to apply for a Letter of Consent (LOC) – work permit.
Permanent Residence (PR)
Issuing authority: Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
Foreigners who meet one of the following conditions may apply for permanent resident status:
Spouse of a Singapore citizen (SC) or Singapore permanent resident (PR).
Unmarried children under the age of 21 legally married or legally adopted by a Singapore citizen or permanent resident of Singapore.
Elderly parents of Singaporean citizens.
Holders of EP or SP pass (the applicants who apply two years after they have obtained EP or SP will have a better chance of passing).
Students studying in Singapore.
Foreign investors in Singapore.
*ICA takes into account a number of personal factors such as economic and social contribution, education, age, work, family status, residence duration, and social integration.
Purchase of real estate:
Both husband and wife are permanent residents and one of them can buy a second-hand HDB flat after three years as a permanent resident.
Permanent residents will pay only 5% extra of Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty (ABSD) on their first flat.
Schooling for children:
Public schools – Children of permanent residents are entitled to government-allocated places and pay far less than foreign students.
International schools – Tuition fees for children of permanent residents are much lower than for children of foreign students.
Central Provident Fund(CPF):
Permanent residents themselves and companies that employ PR are required to pay a CPF monthly.
Military service:
Second-generation male permanent residents who reach 18 years of age are required to serve two years in the military.
Singapore Citizenship (SC)

Foreigners who meet one of the following conditions may apply for Singapore citizenship:
Has held Singapore permanent resident status (PR) for at least two years and is over 21 years old.
Has held Singapore permanent resident status (PR) for at least two years and has been married to a Singapore citizen for at least two years.
A child born after marriage to a Singaporean citizen or legally adopted by a Singaporean citizen under the age of 21.
Holds Singapore permanent resident status (PR) studied in Singapore schools and has lived in Singapore for more than 3 years and has passed at least one national examination.
Holds Singapore permanent resident status (PR) and has parents who are Singapore citizens.
Citizens enjoy the right to vote.
Visa-free access to 166 countries.
Citizens receive government bonuses.
Purchase of real estate:
Single citizens over the age of 35 can buy second-hand HDB flats, and citizen couples can buy new HDB flats.
Singaporean citizens do not have to pay an Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty (ABSD) on condominiums.
Schooling for children:
Public schools – Citizens’ children are eligible for six years of compulsory education and are also eligible for government subsidies at the secondary school level.
International schools – Children of citizens are not allowed to attend international schools at the primary level.
Central Provident Fund(CPF):
The CPF is payable monthly to the citizen and to the company that employs the citizen.
Military service:
Male citizens over the age of 18 are required to serve in the military for two years.
